RNLI visit

27th Apr 2017

Today we had a visit from Lifeguards Johnny and Jamie from RNLI.  They came and spoke to everyone in assembly, and taught us all about their flags, rip currents, and how to keep safe at the beach.  Holly enjoyed dressing up for sun safety - in a sun hat and long sleeved t-shirt.  She didn't put on sunscreen, but children were reminded to use at least Factor 30, and to put it on again every few hours.  Jack showed everyone the safety equipment worn by the lifeguards who operate jet skis.

  • SLIP on a long-sleeved t-shirt
  • SLAP on a sunhat
  • SLOP on the sunscreen!

Please ask your child about what he/she learned today, as beach safety will be an issue for so many of us over the next few months.
